The Expectations on the treatment of people deprived of their liberty in adult custodial centres are currently in draft form. They can be accessed from the Tasmanian National Preventive Mechanism website. We expect to finalise these expectations by mid-2025 and will publish them on our website.
Previously used standards and guidelines
The standards and guidelines below were previously used when conducting inspections. They have been replaced by the above documents. Although we are no longer using these standards and guidelines, we have kept them on our website to provide context to past reports.
