If you have safety concerns about a prisoner or remandee, you should contact the Visitor Reception Centre at Tasmania Prison Services (TPS) on (03) 6165 7400 or email vrc@justice.tas.gov.au. It is open 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, 7 days per week. The Custodial Inspector is independent of TPS and has no role in relation to operational decisions in Tasmanian Prisons.
